Designed to mount onto a 1913 Picatinny rail, this polymer flip up front sight with standard iron sight elevation adjustment – unlike other backup sights – features a shroud which MFT has developed to shelter the front post blade from debris and impact damage when not deployed.
Able to accept any standard front post blade, the Mission First Tactical Front Sight also boasts a metal front sight post; a slim, low profile that is snag resistant, and which allows the sight to sit under most optics; a cover retaining pin that has been redesigned so that the pin does not slip out of position; and a rail clamp nut which has as well been redesigned so that there is no spin out when overtightened.
Ready for a long service life, the MFT Front Flip Up Sight is made using a specially developed, Military Grade reinforced, super tough polyamide material, and can fold to the rear, the correct direction, if dropped. All plastic components have also been changed to a higher strength material.
For full elevation adjustment, a standard front sight tool is required, and each click equals the standard 1/4 MOA.
